Subject: Little Levon and Henry in Zambia!!!!!!
Dennis! Guess What! The Deacon Joseph and his wife Anna in Zambia were
expecting their sixth baby when we were there! The day of the rally,
Anna
was in labor - or close to. We ran by to see her after church and she was
running a temp., and really felt bad! It was at their house that we ate
lunch every day and Anna, even though she was huge with babies - she was
always beautiful and fixed our lunch! They said that if the baby was a
boy,
it would be Henry and if a girl, it would be Levon! WELL! She had
twins! A
boy for Henry and a girl for Levon!!!!
We just got an e-mail from Pastor Phiri! I am SO excited!
Henry is playing golf and I can't wait to tell him the news!
This just made my day! We LOVE those people!
You sure we can't go back to Zambia next year?????
Have a great day.

Reflections and Insights
Application #1
As I was lying in bed Sunday morning before our final day in Africa,
I began thinking about and praying for the people of Zambia. I had really
grown to love them. I was thinking about how much I cared for them when
God
gave me this illustration: He asked..."Do you love them enough to
trade
places with them? Would you stay here and allow one of them to take your
place?"
I had to answer truthfully that, no, I wasn't at that point yet. I
could not honestly say that I loved them enough to become one of them.
Then
it hit me......that is exactly -- precisely -- what Christ did for us! He
came where we live so we could go where He lives!
Lord, thank you for showing me just how much You love me. Please
continue to work in my life until my heart becomes your heart. Help me
become more like you.
Application #2
While many of the people in Lusaka lived in deep poverty, I noticed
that most of them were happy. They were content. They were thankful
for
what they had. Part of me wanted to say to them..."Let me take you to
America. I want you to spend one day -- one HOUR -- where I live so you
could see how wonderful things could be. You would realize just how
inadequate your present conditions are. Your eyes would be opened to a
life
more incredible than you can possibly imagine..."
Then, I got this illustration: Jesus sees me in my nice,
comfortable home in San Antonio. I'm happy there. I'm content.
Christ
wants to tell me "Come with me to the place where I live, so you can see
just how wonderful my home is. Then, you would realize just how inadequate
your present conditions are! Your eyes would also be opened to a life more
incredible than you could possibly imagine. You would realize your own
poverty when compared to the riches that await you in heaven!"
Father, thank you for loving me. May I always remember where my
true treasures are!
