Welcome This site serves as a place to honor the memory of my Dad, Milton Burnett, known to those who knew him well as "Talltimber". My Dad lost his battle with esophageal cancer on July 1, 2000 at about 9:15 p.m. with all his family by his side. On this site I hope to post some of his writings and some pictures of him and by him. If anyone has any pics or stories they wish to contribute, please send them to me at talltimber@moonlightwebsites.com. Mark A. Burnett Web-Servant @ Moonlight Web-Site Designs |

Milton Wayne Burnett June 27, 2000
As far as I know, this is the last picture ever taken of Dad. I had picked up Mitchell from DFW and taken him to Chillicothe on Monday, June 26. Mitchell took this picture with his digital camera on Tuesday the 27th and later sent it to me via e-mail.

As far as I know, this is the first picture of Dad that we have. It is a school picture dated 46-47, which would make him 11 or 12 years old.

This is Dad, I believe, at his retirement from Georgia Pacific in, again - I think, 1996.
As you can see, this is Dad & Mom in Gettysburg in 1994. They had gone to Washington DC for the National Scout Jamboree and visited with Mitch & family in Maryland as well as doing a bit of site-seeing
Not sure when this was taken, but it looks like around summer of 98 or so.

Dad & Mom at their "surprise" 39th Wedding Anniversary Party.

Another pic from the Anniversary Party. This is Dad, Mom & all the grandkids (except Jordan) at the time.

This is a pic of Dad & Mom while they were still dating, taken probably somewhere around 1957-58, which Al & Lunell sent me.

These are pictures of the "Burnett 5". One was taken around 1942-1943, I'm guessing, and the other around 1996 or so.
He didn't let this side out much. But, we knew...
These are several pics I just got scanned. Most are from the "early" years and include either Mom, Kenneth, Sharon & I think maybe Jan in one. If anyone can email me details, I can correct this if not correct now.
This is a pic of Dad @ our house around 1994 or so.
More to Come...
